For any fan of Star Wars, imagining episode IX of the parallel universe seems another way to guess the upcoming events of the show. Since the Revenge of the Sixth, George Locus hasn’t appeared in any Star Wars movie.
This never made us believe that he may leave the show forever. Even after selling Lucasfilm to Disney, the locus has talked openly. The story of Skywalker Saga was present there for years and nobody but Locus imagined it. Interesting!
Palpatine’s Return in the Rise of Skywalker
According to various online sources for TV shows and movie updates, George Locus looked on the other side of the picture for bringing Palpatine back for the final chapter of the Skywalker Saga. Actually, the decision was made by Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker writer/director J.J. Abrams and he had its own version for it.

Ian McDiarmid who has played the nefarious emperor in all three parts justifies Locus’s view.
“I thought he was dead (and) because when we did Return of the Jedi, and I was thrown down that chute to Galactic Hell, he was dead. And I [asked Lucas], ‘Oh, does he come back?’ And [Lucas] said, ‘No, he’s dead.’ So I just accepted that”.
Locus was displeased with Abrams – Not for the First Time
Locus’s disagreement or displeasure with Abrams’ work is not new as he has shown it before. It was shown at Abrams’ work on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, where Locus thought didn’t take enough chances.
In “The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned From 15 Years As CEO Of The Walt Disney Company” the author Bob Iger says that the creator’s criticism was pretty blunt.
The Last Jedi won the favor of George Locus
Co-written and directed by Rian Johnson, the Last Jedi won the favor of George Locus. Though Locus didn’t openly make any statement about the work, one Locus representative said Locus was complimentary and said the film was ‘Beautifully made’.
